Weapons Tier List

Weapons are the flexible layer of Build Base to Survive VERITY. They will not replace a bad base, but they will save a good base when a nest evaporates mid-night. This tier list ranks how to think about Gun Shop crates and manual DPS without sabotaging your Turret economy.

Guiding rule

Turrets > walls > guns for Cash priority. Buy weapons after you own a ladder, a strong block pack, and at least one working nest. Beginners who max guns first still wipe — see getting started.

S-tier uses for guns

  • Finishing a softened VERITY while Turrets reload attention on a bad angle.
  • Covering a destroyed minigun shelf for the last third of a night.
  • Co-op: one dedicated gunner while another repairs (co-op base tips).

A-tier: reliable crate weapons

Whatever mid-to-high crate rolls give consistent sustained fire ranks here. Prefer controllable spray you can aim from the perch without leaving cover. Exact SKU names rotate with updates — buy for handling, not hype.

B-tier: situational picks

Burst or awkward weapons that punish movement mistakes. Fine as secondary hotkeys, poor as primary plans.

C-tier: novelty / flex guns

Flashy crates that drain Cash better spent on turrets or blocks. Unlock them after your money farm prints reliably.

When guns outrank another Turret

Rarely. Exceptions:

  1. You already have overlapping miniguns and need a personal panic button.
  2. A patch nerfs Turret ranges (check Updates).
  3. You are practicing active kiting on a safest base before expanding nests.

Night gun discipline

From the perch only. Ground spraying gets you deleted. Pair with survive VERITY night positioning. If you empty magazines every wave, your nest DPS is underbuilt — fix shelves via turret placement.

Cash routing example

After a 200k+ night:

  1. Repair baffles.
  2. Add two miniguns.
  3. Buy one gun crate if hotbar is empty.
  4. Bank remainder for Emerald/Gold repairs or code gaps filled via Codes.

Own guns as insurance. Pay premiums for walls and barrels that work while you stand still.

Where guns fit in the meta

Weapons are emergency DPS and finishers when nests lag or VERITY closes distance. They are not the primary Cash engine — Turrets and baffles are. Rank crates by how quickly they delete pressure during a repair window, not by cosmetics.

Suggested priority

  1. Keep a reliable mid crate for panic peeks
  2. Avoid emptying Cash on guns before minigun density
  3. In co-op, assign one gunner only (co-op base tips)
  4. Restock after nights that nearly wiped, not after every calm clear

Pairing with other lists

Spend leftover Cash on blocks and Turrets first. Redeem codes before opening crates so free Turrets land. If you still wipe while holding strong guns, your geometry is wrong — fix safest base and survive VERITY night habits.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Build Base to Survive VERITY players.

Should new players buy guns first?

No. Ladder, strong blocks, and a Turret come first. Guns are backup.

Do gun crates beat redeeming codes?

Never skip codes. Free Cash and Turrets outperform a speculative crate. Visit the Codes Hub.

Can I AFK with only guns?

Not effectively. AFK income needs Turrets. Guns are for active correction.

What if Shop weapon names change?

Re-evaluate by fire rate and controllability from the perch after each update.

Can I AFK with guns only?

No. Guns need you. Turrets print Cash while you hold the perch.

Do scripts change weapon tiers?

Aim assists change feel, not Shop value. Build nests anyway — see Scripts.
